IPhone Photo Dump

Sam loves to lounge in our bed, all he does is sleep. He is a true lap dog. Ha! Love him to pieces.

Finished the kitchen, loving the color Valspar Antique Fonda. I have always wanted a red kitchen.

I love roosters, I had this one for a long time but never like the color. It had purple tail feathers and I am not a fan of purple. So I decided to spray paint it, antique white. By the way, I have a new obsession with spray paint. I love the way the rooster turned out.

I need some more things on my counter tops and to hang on the wall under my cabinets. I think it looks a little bare.

Saturday the county fair opened, so me and girls went. We had a great time, although you know you ate getting old when you can't handle all the spinning. Ha!

But we still had a great time.

I think it's fair to say you never get to old for the carousel.

I don't know why Rilee is covering face, who knows she is not always a fan of the camera.

Sunday we went to Lincoln Baptist, where Chris will start as interim pastor this Sunday. We are very excited, we feel this is where God is wanting us and where he has been planning on planting us for awhile.

When we moved to our new house a year ago, we joked about how cool it would be to pastor at this church. However we thought it would only be a dream, considering the pastor at the time had been there for many years. Well God has a way of working things out. That pastor retired a few months ago and so Chris sent them a resume. The day he mailed the resume one of the deacons called him that night and asked him to come and preach for them. Now they had not gotten the resume at that time. We all went on that Sunday and Chris preached and after the service they asked him to be their interim. This church is only 2 mi from the house. All the other churches we have served in have been 30-45 min drives for us. So this is a great blessing to be able to serve in our community that we live in. God is Awesome!!!

True Labor day

We truly had a Labor day, we painted.

When we bought our house it was a blank canvas. Every room was white, Yay for me I get to choose all my colors. This color we went with for the living/dining room is Bungalow Gold. I absolutely love thus color.

Just to give you an idea of what it looked like before.

We got up early on Saturday and painted one coat and then put a second coat in Sunday.

Finished product looks Great!!!
Can't wait, next weekend will be the kitchen.

Latest Craft Projects

So, I am loving Pinterest. I have gotten some awesome ideas from there. Here are my latest.

This was one I did for my mom. This was very easy and unique.

My magnetic memory board, not so easy. This was a little more trouble than I thought. I am having lots of fun though.

The girls went to Nunnie and Paw's this summer and had a blast. Here are some of the pics from their summer.

Ha! Alyssa will probably kill me for this one, but she was taking Avery on a ride.

Other things that happened this summer was we got the girls a pool, this was their surprise when they got home.

They loved it, we got the Salt water system and let me tell you that was an awesome investment. Lots more to come, we are painting some rooms in the house this weekend I will show pics soon.

Show us your Life: Master Bedroom

I am joining Kelly's Korner: Show us your life. I have really enjoyed looking at everyone's bedrooms and have got lots of ideas. We moved into our house about 6 months ago and there is still alot I want to do. This house was pretty much a blank canvas, all we have had time to paint is the master bedroom. But I have big plans for my husband, HA!

This is the view when you walk into our bedroom from the hall. Our house is like an old farm house, it has 9 ft ceilings and wood floors through out. The rug at the end of the bed is only there because our 6 yr old Shi Tzu (Sam) couldn't get traction on the wood floors to jump on the bed. I absolutly love the brown paint ( I don't remeber the color) color that we chose and let me tell you I am horrible when it comes to picking paint. It takes me forever to make up my mind and this color was choosen within 10 min with the husbands help. I was nervous when he started painting, but now I love love love it.

This is the view across the room looking back toward the door. I like my duvet, it's nothing fancy and I would love to had some color. But I haven't found anything that is just jumping out at me. I love anitques and I am looking for some new pieces to add to our bedroom. That's why we don't have a headboard, haven't found anything. I thought about trying to make something, any suggestions would be helpful.

This is the view from the other corner of the room. You see the sign above the door, a friend of ours painted that for us it say's " To the world you are but one person, but to one person you are the world". Our TV looks really small in this picture, but it's a 37 in. I know alot of people don't like a TV in the bedroom, but this is the only time I get to be quite and just relax. Of course you someone else who loves our bedroom, Sam. He loves to lay on our bed (he sleeps here everynight). I hope you have enjoyed, I still have a lot to do.

Alyssa Homecoming 2010

This was Alyssa's corsage, Thank You Nunnie and Paw.
We curled her hair and I bought crystal bobby pens. She wore make-up for the first time.

Her dress we got at JcPenney and shoes from Payless Shoe Source for all we paid $45.oo, not bad for her first dance.

She looks very pretty and all grown up. I can't believe in just 2 months she will be 13, it seems like it was just yesterday that she was born. Momma and Daddy love you very much and we hope you grow up to worship the Lord with all your heart and serve him.

7th grade Science project

Today we had a work day. This morning we got up and pressure washed the house and boy did it need it. Next we did the side walk and after all that we then started Alyssa's science project. We had to make an animal cell, now they want you to use things you have around the house. Who has things that you can make a cell out of around the house. These projects always end up costing lots of money.

Saturday we got up and the girls and I headed to town. First stop was the mall, we had to get a homecoming dress. That will be a post all of it's own. After we did all the mall things, we headed to Hobby Lobby. This ended up costing me $40.
